What’s your favourite part of working at Bnbhost?
Working with the guests to provide them with a nice soft-landing, and being the first point of call with the city itself!
What does an average day for you look like at Bnbhost?
Answering the queries of potential bookings, dealing with any correspondence from guests who are already staying with us, as well as those who are due to arrive. Dealing with client enquiries and aspects of their listing, be it related to maintenance work, reaching out to guests, and/or setting pricing and monitoring occupancy levels. I also deal with many contractors, ensuring any maintenance/structural work is carried out (on time, and on budget). As well as this I liaise frequently with our cleaning team to both ensure properties are ready for guests, cleaned to the highest standard, and that any issues in the properties are dealt with are dealt with swiftly, and without minimal disruption to guests and clients. Myself and my colleagues also help create new listings for clients hoping to join our team, and frequently liaise with potential new clients about what BnB Host has to offer, and exactly what distinguishes us from similar management companies.
What do you bring to the team?
A positive attitude towards problem solving, and a can-do approach to ensuring that all queries, issues or problems are dealt with with a minimum of fuss. Hopefully a positive outlook so far as the role itself is concerned, but also so far as welcoming others to – and celebrating – the city of Glasgow!
What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
I like to run, and have competed at a decent level since I was pretty young. I also enjoy music, films, reading and the generally trying to squeeze as much out of this vibrant, hilarious city.
