Here’s what Helen, one of our Property Managers, recommends….

“I’d love to recommend The Locale (241 North St, G3 7DL).

It’s a brand new pub/restaurant in between the city centre and west end. It’s situated a great location as the surrounding area is going to become a car free zone in the next few years, plus there is going to be large green spaces opening up, public walkways and cycle lanes.

The food is amazing, atmosphere is great and the beer garden out the back is huge – so many great things are planned here so it’s certainly one to keep an eye on.”

Here’s what Dom, our Weekend Manager, recommends…

“A great spot that’s well worth a visit for guests is the newly refurbished Mackintosh at the Willow tea rooms located in the heart of Glasgow at the bustling 217 Sauchiehall Street (G2 3EX.)

Offering interactive exhibitions as well as afternoon tea and lunch options, it’s a great spot for art lovers, architecture enthusiasts and tourists alike. They also have a great rooftop canopy for cocktails and food during better weather also.”

Here’s what Dave, one of our Directors, recommends…

A little off the beaten track, but very worth it, is Shawarma King!If you’re into tasty, comforting flavours of the Middle East, this is your place. The Lamb Shawarma comes highly recommended. It’s a great place for a quick, but filling, bite to eat! There are options for everyone too – you can turn up the heat with extra spice or go vegi if that’s what you’re into! You can find it at 99-113 King St (G1 5RB).”

Here’s what Gill, one of our Directors, recommends…

“Glasgow has so many hidden gems, so it’s hard to just pick one. However, Julie’s Kopitiam has got to be one of my favourites. Located at 1109 Pollokshaws Road (G41 3YG), it is a well-known spot for locals and although tiny in size, boasts BIG flavours of Malaysia. The menu is constantly changing to deliver the freshest seasonal dishes, meaning you can go back time and time again to discover a whole new taste sensation! The Malaysian restaurant offers walk in only and does not take bookings, but if you head along early when it opens at 5pm you shouldn’t have to wait long. You can thank us later!”
