What is your favourite part of working at Bnbhost?

The office atmosphere and the fast pace. Each day is different and always needs communication and team work to get all issues resolved, everyone mucks in regardless of their title in the company.

What does an average day looks like?

Setting up the daily jobs for our maintenance team, tying in with the cleaning team to go through the days check ins, contacting or replying to any client emails, scheduling any contractors to go out to jobs, creating new Airbnb lisitings and making sure that the evening team are kept in the loop when writing up handover notes.

What do you bring to the role?

Honesty and an upbeat attitude to making sure everyone has their issues or queries resolved. I also bring a solid stir to the role of coffee making.

What do you do in your spare time?

I love playing golf and watching my “sleeping giant” of a football team (not really). Outside of sport I enjoy taking new online courses and reading.

What’s your favourite part of working at Bnbhost?
It’s not your conventional office, there is a relaxed atmosphere, everyone works hard but knows how to have a good laugh.

What does an average day for you look like at Bnbhost?
No day at Bnbhost is average. Due to the nature of the business, there is always something going on and you learn quickly to expect the unexpected. A lot of my time is taken up ensuring our properties are of the highest standard and ready for guests arriving. I also spend time photographing our new properties and editing the images to ensure they are looking their best for prospective guests.

What do you bring to the team?
I would like to say a strong work ethic and a calm head. I try and help out when people need it and aim to make Bnbhost an enjoyable place to work. I have experience with maintenance and renovations so I am often called upon to fix things!

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
I like spending time outside fishing and playing golf. During the winter I enjoy skiing both in Scotland and abroad when I get the chance. I like spending time with friends and family, watching rugby and football and enjoying a few pints.

What’s your favourite part of working at Bnbhost?
The team and our clients. All of our staff go the extra mile to help each other out, we all care about each other and what we do. Our clients have been with us for a long time, we have built great relationships with them. Some whom we visit abroad.

What does an average day for you look like at Bnbhost?
It varies. I work closely with our booking software onboarding new platforms. I also work closely with our office and cleaning staff making sure everyone is happy. I look for new opportunities for the business and our staff.

What do you bring to the team?
Organisation, direction, and experience within the property sector.

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
Spending time with my little girl, the tasmanian devil, she keeps me busy outside of work! I love cooking and tasting new wines 🙂

The flexibility to work around my university studies and the opportunities the company gives its staff.

What does an average day for you look like at Bnbhost?
No two weekend shifts are the same. That’s what makes the work exciting. I am typically responding and dealing with clients and guests, reacting to any maintenance work, compiling training material or even updating software.

What do you bring to the team?
I like to bring an energy and dedication to getting work done as efficiently as possible. No problem is ever too stressful. Hospitality is a great place to learn how to thrive in such situations. Whether I need to sort out creative operations problems or reach a guest within 20 minutes, I’l make sure they are sorted – I do not limit myself to an office position which is important for smooth weekend operations.

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
I write and play in a band (Lazy Activists), write and film with the Glasgow University Screenwriting Society and love music, reading and travelling.
